Archie – 2 year old male Jack Russell Terrier Cross

Archie is a 2 year old male Jack Russell Terrier Cross. He is a small sized dog of only 5kgs. He does have to put some weight on but should be no bigger than maybe 8kgs which is still very small. He is very shy and reserved. He is living happily at the moment with other dogs and cats.

GREAT NEWS! This Dog Has Now Been Rehomed
Thanks to good people like yourself who use dogsblog.com on a daily basis, this dog has now found a new, permanent loving home. There are more dogs still looking though…

Allow us to find your new PERFECT canine friend with our dogsblog.com matchmaker service. Enter your details below to receive a tailored, hand-picked list of available dogs for adoption…

He needs a home with a garden to access. He will need to learn all skills including house training, walking on a lead and how to trust humans.

Archie clearly has had a long history of physical abuse and this will take time to get over and a special person/family to help him get over it. Archie has no confidence in himself but in time and with love this should grow.

He could be rehomed with a calm quiet dog or as an only dog. Because he is shy and wary we recommend an adult only household or children who are older.

Archie was being beaten by his owner on the street when our rescuer stepped in and removed him!

It’s clear Archie had been beaten before and possibly for most of his life as he drops to the floor when you approach him waiting for the hit or kick to come! Once he realises this isn’t going to happen anymore, he will come to you and give you licks and kisses.

Homecheck and adoption fee apply. Rescue back up from DWB (Scotland).

All of our dogs come from Romania and have spent time with our Romanian rescuer either in their home or in suitable kennels until adopted. As we are a small rescue we have only a few dogs in foster in the UK, most are direct adoptions from Romania to the UK.

We offer support throughout the whole process as well as after the dog has arrived which is the most important time of all.

We do not adopt to families with resident children under the age of 7yrs. and try where possible to cat test out dogs. Please note, all our dogs have comprehensive blood works as well as being fully vaccinated/microchipped and registered to the new owner.

We also neutered/spayed responsibly and provide full post adoption support. Home check/application form apply as well as telephone/video call.
