Asha is a very sweet, smallish 5 year old female Cross-Breed. She came to us a few weeks ago from the Radauti public shelter in Romania. She was completely emaciated as the other dogs in the shelter had prevented her from eating. Her carer in Romania begged us to take her as she knew she wouldn’t last much longer and certainly wouldn’t have survived the oncoming harsh winter. She was in a poor state and very scared.
Asha had also never been walked on a lead before and froze everytime there was movement around her, obviously very traumatised by her recent past. Amazingly Asha is doing so well now after such a short time, walking nicely on the lead, although hesitant at times and beginning to take in her surroundings and enjoying her walks. She has put on some weight and looking much better and is a lot more relaxed.
Such a sweet and grateful girl is emerging now and really deserves a loving home. Her ideal would be some reasonably quiet, so she can continue to build her confidence, strength and trust slowly.
Asha gets on well with other dogs but would need an adult home environment. All dogs are vaccinated, microchipped and neutered (unless the dog is too young to be neutered).
