Audra – 8 year old female Greyhound

AUdra is an 8 year old female Greyhound. Audra another of our Canidrome babies, is meant to be 8 years of age but I am sure somewhere they must have mixed that up! Audra is a big tall, proud and strong female Greyhound. She is a bundle of energy and love and is always on the go. She adores people and has been fine with the other greyhounds but she is still very very interested in smaller dogs and other breeds so will need a home who understands she needs much more gentle safe socialisation and time. That said she is biddable and willing to listen and is a real handsome girl.

[rehomed]

Out and about on lead Audra walks like a dream in the main but will still try to rear up or leap if she sees something small or furry especially whilst running but it is more than manageable with someone who understands the breed. We feel she could learn to co exist with a male greyhound or equally could settle to be a single dog, she has quite the independent streak. Audra can be rehomed with dog savvy children 6 years and upwards but most definitely not smaller dogs currently, cats or small furries. This girl is a total love bucket and a complete sappy cuddle monster so someone will have the most affectionate new member to their family. Although Audra is with us in kennels she loves to be clean and empties the second she is given the chance so we do not feel though housetraining her will be an issue.

Audra is vaccinated, kc vaccinated, de flead, de wormed, microchipped, spayed, has received a dental and will be rehomed with one months pet insurance via Pet Plan. We can not wait to see this girl gracing someones sofa and just know she will be the love of their life.

If you are interested in offering Audra a home in the first instance please complete the pre adoption questionnaire.

Greyhound Gap

Greyhound Gap is a small independent charity set up to rescue, rehabilitate and rehome greyhounds and lurchers who find themselves in a ‘put to sleep’ situation in UK pounds. Funded almost entirely by donations, we rehome around 150 dogs each year. We can have around 40-50 dogs at any one time in our kennels based in Kidsgrove, Stoke on Trent and a further 30-40 in foster homes. Greyhound Gap operates on a national basis so our dogs can be homed throughout the UK subject to a suitable home visit being carried out.

If you are interested in adopting a dog from Greyhound Gap, we would ask that in the first instance you could take a few moments to complete our pre-adoption questionnaire if you have not already done so: http://www.greyhoundgap.org.uk/our-dogs/pre-adoption-questionnaire
