I am not aware of any feeding issues; however, she is fed separately at the moment. Beau has lived in a home before with young adults and can again as long as they are over 14yrs. She loved being part of a family and like all shepherd-type dogs, Beau loved nothing better than to keep her family safe. She does this by guarding her boundary and will let you know if anyone comes in. She will need a secure 6ft plus secure fenced area to lie and walk around.
She can live inside the home but enjoys being outside also. Beau can be strong on a lead so adults only can walk her. She will need to use a muzzle when outside now as she was aggressive towards a small dog that had been walking outside her property. She managed to escape when the gate did not close properly and unfortunately bit the dog which led to the dog requiring surgery.
Because of this incident, Beau went into rehab at The Birkett -Smith Animal Sanctuary (Dorset) and is now ready to be re-homed after 5 months of training. Beau is for only a small part of her life has she been truly loved which is so very sad. She thrived in a home environment and was as good as good can be! She can be again. Beau’s previous adopter said that she is fine when taken outside of her property and can pass dogs easily and with no problem at all.
Her guarding instincts are strong when she is inside her own property. Beau has lived with many rescue dogs when she was in Romania also a cockerpoo, ducks, and a rabbit with no problem whatsoever when home in the UK. A home that has lots of space or maybe a farm in the countryside?
If you feel you can offer a home to Beau – please get in touch. She is not happy at the moment, and we at DWB Scotland would love nothing better than to see the light come back into her eyes once again.
