Bella is a 6 year old female Mastiff Cross. She has now been in foster for a few weeks and it’s become apparent that she is very typical Mastiff in that she bonds like glue to her family but takes time to get to know new people and until she does know and trust them she’d prefer them to not be too in her face. Whoever adopts her will need to meet her several times at her foster home in South Yorkshire prior to adoption.
She’s been around young children and been fine but we think a home with children 12+ would be better for her. She seems to be very interested in other dogs out on walks but again given how protective she is of her people she is likely to be suited to being a only dog.
We are told she has lived with cats. She travels like a dream in the car, loves cuddles from people she does know and trust and is simply adorable.
She doesn’t seem to have been walked much and she is strong on her lead although does walk better on a halti. She’s not particularly bothered about walks and would be happy with short walks and long naps on the sofa. She’s six years old and will be spayed in two months as she came to us in season and it is evident that she has been bred from in the past.
If you have experience of the Mastiff breed and can offer her a loving forever home please call us. Homecheck, vet references and adoption fee apply.
