Please meet Beautiful Bella. Bella is a beautiful Standard Poodle (possible Labradoodle) of approximately 2 years old. Bella was picked up as a stray and was totally shut down and feral on arrival, she would not tolerate touch and would run and hide at every opportunity, we assume she has spent her entire life in a kennel as a breeding bitch at a puppy farm, because of this when she came to us via the stray pound. She knew nothing about being a dog!
Bella is very much a work in progress. She is the sweetest most affectionate little girl once she trusts you but this takes time, it’s taken her about 3 months to come and cuddle with me on the sofa – now you can’t keep her off! She has adjusted well to living in a house and doesn’t appear to be scared of household noises etc, however she needs ongoing help with house training. She will use pads and has got better but this will be ongoing with regular walks she should pick it up quite soon.
She isn’t destructive but loves socks and throws. She mouths and mothers them! She absolutely must live with another calm and confident dog, as being with dogs has bought her right out of her shell here, she literally mirrors everything they do and she is particularly keen of my Newfoundland so a large breed would be ideal. She is even beginning to run around and play. Bella is very good at the groomers and is used to having regular pamper sessions since she arrived with us!
A home without kids or with older kids would suit her. She doesn’t like too much excitement. She is willing to learn and despite her past, her tail never stops wagging! Could you offer this poor little lamb a loving forever home? Bella is fine to be left for short periods, She is quiet as a mouse.
Bella is spayed and microchipped, could you offer this shy little girl the forever home and love and support she deserves?
