All of them were removed as they were in danger of getting run over by machinery and went to live with a local rescuer.

Bellatrix and her siblings came to our shelter at the beginning of 2023 where they all shared a kennel together. They got along well most of the time with Bellatrix trying to assert her authority over her siblings at times.

She can be a bit “bossy” with other dogs but she is currently living at our shelter with 28 other dogs and has socialised well with them when in a group environment.

She is leash trained but has never lived in a home so her new owners must have the time it takes to deal with issues like house training at the start.

Bellatrix’s new owners must be experienced dog owners as she is a nervous girl until she gets to know you and then she is very sweet and affectionate. She will happily sit in the volunteer’s laps for cuddles.

So, she needs owners who understand dog behaviour and when to give them space to learn to trust.

Bellatrix has not had any experience with children so she would be best to live in a child free home. She did grow up with cats in her first placement so she could probably live with cats with a proper introduction. She could live with another easy going dog or as an only dog.

She is quite a small dog weighing about 14kg and had been spayed, fully vaccinated and microchipped. Bellatrix is ready to come to the UK now.

All dogs rehomed via this rescue will be vaccinated, neutered/spayed and microchipped. Home checks apply and full post adoption support is offered.

Our dogs are rescued from the streets of Oman where they live terrible lives, often suffering abuse, starvation, fatal car accidents and victims of shootings.

They’re primarily wadi dogs, a type of mixed breed sighthound and make wonderful pets. They’re incredibly loyal, loving and intelligent.
