Benji – 3 year old male Greyhound

Our loveable clown is now ready to find his own home. Benji is coming up to 3 years of age and what a character but in a good way. Benji loves to love! He loves his people, he loves other dogs and is just an all round mischief maker. He would love a home with a youngish busy female dog to play with but one that was also strong enough to tell him when enough was enough. Many people are put off by Benji as although these photos don’t show it he has colour dilute alopecia. This can be common in some crosses of dogs, so basically Benji looks like a giant, longnosed Mexican hairless bless him! We just think it adds to his character. It does mean though that Benji may need a little protection from the sun during hotter days. I really hope that someone sees the merits of this cracking boy and offers him a home soon because he is just an all round nice lad. Benji has been fine with children he has met but as he is a little bouncy he would be best placed with dog savy children 8 years and upwards and he is not cat friendly.

Greyhound Gap

Greyhound Gap is a small independent charity set up to rescue, rehabilitate and rehome greyhounds and lurchers who find themselves in a ‘put to sleep’ situation in UK pounds. Funded almost entirely by donations, we rehome around 150 dogs each year. We can have around 40-50 dogs at any one time in our kennels based in Kidsgrove, Stoke on Trent and a further 30-40 in foster homes. Greyhound Gap operates on a national basis so our dogs can be homed throughout the UK subject to a suitable home visit being carried out.

If you are interested in adopting a dog from Greyhound Gap, we would ask that in the first instance you could take a few moments to complete our pre-adoption questionnaire if you have not already done so:
