Benny is a very keen learner and happy to work for any treat he longs to please and loves the brain workout and bonding. He knows his basic commands and would love to learn more.

Benny loves people, of all shapes and sizes and becomes a bit of a lap dog once he gets to know you, he also loves a gentle chest stroke – then he’s your friend for life!

Benny hasn’t had the chance to socialise with many dogs, he has lived with his sister previously but has had little beyond that.

Benny is interested in them on walks and likes to observe. He would like to be the only dog in the home and have someone help him learn about other dogs at his own pace.

Benny loves his toys and Chewies, he’s just a lovable fun dog who wants to be your best friend and companion. Benny is house-trained, can be left for a few hours and is a big snuggle bug!

Helping Dogs and Cats UK Rescue
Helping Dogs and Cats UK Rescue

Helping Dogs & Cats is a non-profit animal rescue (CIC number1420295) based in Basingstoke and operates in Hampshire, Berkshire, Kent, and Surrey. We rescue dogs, cats and other small animals in need of help.

Our journey began in 2018 when our Founder Kirsty Wrightson established the rescue after losing her beloved dog, Millie. Our work includes rehoming and rehabilitation, veterinary care, microchipping, spaying and neutering. All of the animals that come into our care first go into foster homes for assessment.

Adopting a dog or cat or other animal is a big decision and in most instances, a long-term commitment. To help you answer any questions you may have we have created an FAQ guide. https://helpingdogsandcatsuk.org/faqs-1

Our small team is staffed by volunteers, who are true animal lovers and passionate about animal welfare. We receive no government funding and depend entirely on the generosity of our supporters. Every penny we receive goes directly to helping dogs and cats.

We offer full rescue backup for the life of your adopted animal.
