Meet Benny; he is an eight year old castrated male Rough-coated Collie that was brought back to the Bath Cats & Dogs Home in January 2006, after only a week as he was unpredictable. Benny is a gentleman with a real zest for life – despite his age!

Whether it’s for a long walk or a game of fetch – he will play for hours on end. He is good on the lead although chews it in excitment sometimes, and also good off lead. Benny needs a new home on a one-to-one basis as he tends to bond better with just one person. He needs someone willing to spend time with him as he has some behavioural issues. He is very well behaved, calm and quiet and never destructive when left.
He is not a cuddly dog although loves attention but on his terms. His best time of day is dinnertime as you ca tell from his fuller figure! Benny will require an experienced owner who lives locally and who is willing to go to 1-1 sessions with our animal behaviourist. He is good with some other dogs but must be homed as the only dog; is good with cats and needs a new home without children – fine if 18+. Benny is a nice lad but is not going to be the easiest of dogs to adopt – we just need to find the right person for him.
