Bert is a 6-7 year old male Staffordshire Bull Terrier. We are told he had been with the same family for six years with no issues and then recently he showed his teeth at a child in the family.

We have no information on what happened- whether he was eating/provoked/sleeping etc. But as a result he was handed into a pound and today he’s come to us. He’s been great with all of us – making a fuss, waggy tail, very friendly.
We would need a home with older children (12+) given the information the pound were told. He’s happily walked alongside a female dog today so possibly could be okay with another dog pending successful meets.
No cats as we don’t know if he’s been around them. He has come in with severe hair loss but looks like a flea allergy. He’s neutered and chipped and his vaccinations have been started.
We will update more as we get to know him better but hopefully he will find his adoptive family quite soon as he is adorable. Due to lockdown we are only able to rehome within a one hour travel radius of Rotherham. Homechecks, vet reference and adoption fees apply.
