They were recently signed over to our care with their mother Brandy due to not having enough time for them. Betsy the bigger one weighs 6.7 kilos and Lola 5.6 kilos.

Being picked up from the Vets

We think they have all been bred from.

These girls have not been with us long – we are unsure if they have lived in a home or not due to them being fascinated by the TV, oven and other household noises.

Wondering what the noise is

But what is apparent is how lovely they are, early days we know but they have a wonderful nature and have not been any trouble at all.

Both were clean in the house not even one accident, sleeping in the crate together at night. Getting on well with the other dogs in the house.

Travelled from Gloucestershire to Devon in the back seat with no problem.

They are very friendly dogs, with lovely natures, not sure they have been used to walking on a lead but are learning quickly, we cannot let them off the lead yet so unsure of recall as they have only just been spayed but their foster home feels they will be fine.

Happy girls

Friendly

Their foster home feels they are a bonded pair and at this stage, we do not want to split them up without trying to get a home together.

They will need someone who has been rescued before as they need guidance in real life – Betsy the bigger one is the one more unsure of everything but is growing in confidence every day.

Lovely temperament just needs people with time & patience and you have two lovely dogs.

We will update their profile next week when they can do longer walks, we can wash and groom them.

Smashing little girls somebody is going to be very lucky.

Watching their foster sister eat nuts

At this moment in time looking for adult-only homes but will update once they have met the grandchildren.

Both girls are spayed, started their vaccinations, chipped, flea/wormed.

Starfish Dog Rescue is a small Rescue helping UK dogs established since 2011.

The dogs that find their way to us are those in need of support in a small home-based rescue where the dogs are fostered as our own in our homes, the old, the young and more vulnerable that would not do well with a kennel-based rescue.

We work closely with the dogs assessing them so we know them so well we can give potential owners a complete picture of the dogs and what they need in the form of a forever home, we home our dogs as if they are our own and have a 99.9% success rate in matching dogs and people up we will never compromise so please do not be offended when we say no which is quite often our rescue is about the dogs first and their needs we home them knowing if they could speak it's about their perfect match.

We are a small team of local volunteers who have worked together closely for many years now many of us have worked for larger organisation where sometimes people lose sight of the most important factors and that is the dogs.

All our dogs are neutered, vaccinated, chipped, wormed/fleaed to us that is just the basics, dogs will get everything they need to make sure they lead a healthy happy life before they leave us, if they need surgery for heart problems, treatment for ear infections, dentals for infected teeth to name a few they will get it - we often organise fund raisers to help pay their vet fees from our wonderful supporters.

Each dog is a special precious soul and will always be the centre of what Starfish is - a Rescue that is all about the dogs.
