Black is a nearly 5 month old black Labrador cross puppy who’s not had the best start in life. He was saved from a kill shelter in November and currently stays in a foster home with several other dogs. His front left paw had been broken and partly healed by the time he was released from the kill shelter.
This has been healed since then, he uses his foot properly and bears weight on it completely well. He is expected to become a Labrador size once fully grown but no guarantees as his parents are unknown (current shoulder height: 35 cm, weight: 8 kg).
Black is a happy and active boy who spends the majority of his time playing or chilling with the other puppies just like a healthy puppy should. He is a friendly doggie with a nice temperament, very loving and sociable with everyone. He loves cuddles and responds nicely to humans.
He is friendly with his doggie mates too and loves running around and playing with them. He is also friendly with cats and he lives with them in his current foster home.
He is not getting walks currently therefore he will need to be trained. His house training will also need to be put in place as he currently lives outdoors and sleeps in a kennel. His future family should be aware of all the pleasure and pain that comes with adopting a puppy and love this little clown unconditionally with all his clumsiness and cuteness and happy character! He is still very young and it is down to his family to make him grow into a happy and well-behaved adult dog who they can be proud of.
Black would be best suited with a family without or with children over 10 where he is not left alone for long periods of time and there is time for his training. His future family will need to continue his socialisation and take him to training classes if possible. He could live with a friendly doggie mate to keep him company as he loves to play and is very sociable, but he would equally be happy living with his humans to care for him only.
Black is currently in Hungary and can travel to the UK as soon as the right family is found for him. He comes fully vaccinated, microchipped, dewormed, flea and tick treated, with an EU passport and DEFRA approved paperwork.
The right owner will need to agree to have him neutered once fully grown. Adoption is subject to Home Check and Adoption fee.
