Blanca -9 year old female West Highland White Terrier Cross

This is the adorable Blanca – a sweet little girl – about 9 years old who’s currently in foster care in Bournemouth. She is a Westie cross – only 4 kilos but don’t let that fool you, she has a big personality! She was abandoned by her family with a terrible skin condition and covered in beasties. She got the care and love from our volunteers and blossomed. Well, she has now settled in foster in Bournemouth – and she is just a delight.

Blanca loves to be with you, her favourite place is on your lap and whilst she enjoys cuddles and being stroked she will let you know when she’s had enough. She’s clean in the house, travels well in the car and loves her walks but doesn’t need to go far (she has the smallest legs!) She walks by your side and never goes far. Blanca likes to sleep on the bed but isn’t greedy with the space.

She is fit and well, up to date with vaccinations and has been spayed.

Blanca would suit someone that is looking for a companion, someone that will be by her side through thick and thin. She could live with another dog provided it was calm and allowed her to be prime lap warmer.

Her skin is doing well, but will need to be monitored and she does sometimes need a medicated shampoo. Due to her age we are looking for a calmer family, possibly with older teenage children.
