Bob – 8 year old male Shih Tzu

Bob is an 8 year old male Shih Tzu. He is an amazing dog but we are looking for a firm and fair owner that will follow and listen to the plans put in place.

Bob would thrive with strong boundaries and someone that has time to dedicate to him. Bob has some very specific behavioural needs that we want to make clear to give Bob every chance we can.

Bob doesn’t like to have his space invaded – if he’s asleep, let him sleep. Bob doesn’t like stairs – so he needs to have a safe bob only’ space downstairs or even a flat/bungalow.

Bob doesn’t like to be left for long periods – we are building up, but it’s a slow process.

Bob will warn if he’s feeling intimidated. Bob doesn’t like the word no and seems to equate it to bad things happening so can react.

Bob is an absolute character, he’s incredibly friendly and loves a tummy rub. Bob loves his walks and will do zoomies waiting to go out. Bob loves food and will do anything for a treat (he has shown no guarding).

When Bob has decided you are his person he will love you and follow you everywhere. Bob has shown he’s good with other dogs within the foster home and brilliant with visiting grandchildren.

So as you can see Bob is a dog of two half’s we ideally need someone open, honest and willing to take the time to learn and understand Bob.

Bob will not be placed within a working family with children but could manage visiting grandchildren – if a safe space purely for Bob could be provided. No cats. Potentially could live with another dog (s). Bob is fully vaccinated, microchipped and neutered. He is a foster in Bristol.
