Bobby – 6 year old male Staffordshire Bull Terrier Cross

Hi my name is Bobby and I am a 6 year old, neutered, Staffordshire Bull Terrier cross. I have been in kennels for such a longh time but recently I went to a lovely foster home for a week to be assessed and this is what my lovely foster mum said about me; Bobby has been in kennels over 3 years, and travelled amazing on the 2.5 hour journey to his short term foster home. He hasn’t once weed or had any accidents in the home, so considering he’s been in kennels so long he is extremely clean! Bobby is really calm in the home and slept with no problems from 11.30-7.15 in a crate (nice and padded with soft bedding which he loves!) Bobby has not barked or whined at any point. He’s extremely adjusted to being a home with ease and is loving his comforts bless him.

[rehomed]

Bobby is loving and gives lots of snogs! He does seem particularly fond of men although he’s good with the ladies also. He’s not been around children and in foster of ages 15 and 17 years and is good with them. Bobby has met the resident female Staffordshire Bull Terrier Karma with absolutely no issues so he could possibly live with a female (spayed) dog pending successful introductions. Bobby has met briefly one of the resident cats and indications are he’s not a fan BUT he will be tested further, for now it’s a no. Bobby really loves his walks and yesterday went on a 2 hr trek to a county park and met some horses which he was respectful too, and curious but easily distracted. He walks well on the lead and passes other dogs without issue or conflict.

Bobby needs a confident handler who will give him love routine and boundaries. He is very responsive inside the home and loves his toys and brings them to you, he also responds well to a clicker so this could help in his training. He sits for his food and gives his paw, and he takes treats without snatching. Outside of the home he’s more aloof but that’s due to not been exposed to the world for so long. Once you get his attention he will sit by you when out for a fuss but he’s just enjoying his time in the big world and who can blame him ! He’s waited such a long time.
I’m now back in the kennels and want,so desperatly to find my forever home, have you got one for me?
