Bonca is a 9 month old, smaller medium size (shoulder height: 37 cm, weight: 10 kg) female cross breed. She was found along with her sister, Bora, cowering under a bush in a village in Hungary in May. They were trembling, scared and miserable, skinny, full of ticks and fleas and with some wounds on their bodies.
They’ve spent the past 3.5 months in a shelter which is way too much for their age. We would love these little gems to spend the rest of their life in loving families and forget about their troubled past.
Bonca is very unique in her appearence, with her beautiful soft hair and a curly tail. She is a gentle soul, soft and vulnerable who needs a caring family to bring her out of her shell. She is friendly with everyone, a bit shy initially but she is a real sweetheart once she sees you mean no harm. She gets on well with dogs, she currently lives with a pack of dogs in the shelter. She is quite submissive among them, but would open up for a nice play. She has also been tested with cats and she was really nice – got to kiss one of them! She is not taken on walks at the shelter so she will need to be lead trained. She will also need to be house trained as she currently lives in a kennel environment outdoors.
Bonca would be best suited for a family without or with children over 14 where she is not left alone for long periods of time and she can spend time with her family. Her family will need to be patient and give her time to settle and gain her confidence and gently introduce her new environment. Her training and socialization will also need to be continued in her new home. She could easily live with a friendly doggie to keep her company, but she would be equally happy living with her humans to care for her only.
Bonca comes fully vaccinated, spayed, microchipped, dewormed, flea and tick treated, with an EU passport and DEFRA approved paperwork.
Adoption is subject to Home Check and Adoption fee.
