Bonnie – 2 year old female Cross-Breed

Bonnie is a smallish 2 year old female Cross-Breed. She came to us a few weeks ago from some rescuer friends in Romania. We already had her mother in our care who we have been working with for some time so we were expecting her to be nervous.

Bonnie had been living quite happily in a foster home in Romania but when she began to get bullied by the other dogs she was moved here for a better life. She had lived outside previously and had not been touchable by her carers. Here it quickly became apparent that it wasn’t touching her that was a problem it was catching her to do so because she would simply stay out of reach.

Actually when we did get hold of her she would enjoy a fuss so we simply had to work on the running off bit! In a more confined foster home with less opportunity to keep out of the way Bonnie had flourished. She now does happy dances and grins in greetings to her foster mum and will even approach her and ask for a fuss. She is still quite skittish at times so will need a patient and understanding adopter willing to continue to improve her confidence.

Bonnie is more wary of men than women. She will need to live with at least one other dog so please do not apply if you don’t have one, a visiting dog or a neighbours dog is not sufficient. Bonnie is currently living with cats but may chase if they are nervy and run.

Bonnie needs a quietish calm home with no young children. She enjoys her walks now but is still nervous of traffic so a rural home would be ideal. He is fostered in Poringland Norfolk.

All dogs are vaccinated, microchipped and neutered (unless the dog is too young to be neutered). If you are interested please message or call between 9am to 5pm Mon – Fri 9am to 4pm Sat.

We are a voluntary organisation with members from all over the world that have come together to help dogs in need, regardless of their location. To date we have helped dogs from Spain, Cyprus and Turkey but the majority of our work takes place in Romania where we have built up strong relationships with many dedicated rescuers before bringing the dogs to the UK and into foster care for rehoming.
