Bono is a large, black-and-tan 3 year old male Cross-Breed with only three legs. He was recently rescued with an injured leg, which was unfortunately too damaged to be saved. However, he manages very well on three legs and is surprisingly joyful, agile and fast; running and leaping about like any young dog. He is very sociable with other dogs – a little submissive at first but playful once he knows them. Bono fostered Dersingham Norfolk.
Though he is wary and a bit subdued around new people, once he has had a few treats then he is very loving and likes nothing more than to be fussed. He is going to make a very loyal companion for someone; after only a couple of days he is following his foster mum around the house and is delighted to see her when she returns from work. He is a very peaceful chap to be around and will happily sleep after he’s had some exercise or when there’s nothing exciting happening.
In the short time that he’s been in foster in the UK, he has learnt that humans give treats, which makes him very happy. He has learnt to come when called (or when the treat tin rattles) and is clean in the house. Bono is an intelligent chap who is food orientated, and absolutely delighted when he realizes that his meals are being prepared. He is happy sleeping downstairs at night, but can easily get upstairs if allowed. He is happily living with cats and hens and is comfortable around older children and other dogs in a busy foster home where there are visitors and some visiting dogs.
All dogs are vaccinated, microchipped and neutered (unless the dog is too young to be neutered). If you are interested please message or call between 9am to 5pm Mon – Fri 9am to 4pm Sat
