Brodie is a 1 year old male Akita cross Greyhound. He is a handsome lad who is full of beans. He has found his way to us through no fault of his own and is now looking for new owners who are up for countryside adventures. Brodie has lived in a home before, where he was housetrained and was used to his home comforts, so is desperate to get back to a family he can call his own.
Brodie has missed out on some of his socialization so is now looking for a new family who can introduce him to the wonderful world at a pace he is comfortable with. Brodie would like his new home to be in a relatively quiet location with access to his own private enclosed garden. Brodie can potentially live with teenagers but would prefer to be the only pet in his new home. He does have some social skills when it comes to other dogs and would benefit from having some walking friends once settled. He would also strongly benefit from training classes.
Brodie has also been used to having lots of human company throughout the day, this has resulted in him being by himself a little tricky. We do feel that Brodie has the potential to be left for short periods of time but this will need working on once he is settled. His ideal family will not have to leave him at all initially and be able to build up the time he is left alone at home. He may be better suited to a family where there is more than one person at home.
Brodie loves treats, toys, and playing and is a real character once he knows you. Although he will need lots of mental and physical stimulation, this boy is also a snuggle monster who loves resting his head in your lap while you scratch his tummy. He may be a bit of a project pet to start but investing in him will make him a great family addition in the future.
