Bruce is a 6 month old male French Bulldog. Bruce came to us when he had just been born as he had a cleft pallet. He has been hand reared by his foster and thanks to the donations of many, has undergone several surgeries to repair his cleft. The great news is he has been given the all clear by the vet and is now ready for re homing. When you consider applying please be aware that we will be inundated with applications and there will undoubtedly be many disappointed applicants. We will re home Bruce with the home that matches his needs as closely as possible.
Please don’t be offended if you are not chosen, we have only one Bruce and already many applications on file. If not successful for Bruce do consider another rescue dog as there are many needing homes. Bruce would like new owners who are around for a good part of the day, he is still a young pup so will need to continue with his training. He must be re homed with at least one other resident dog, please do not apply if you do not have another dog – this is a must for Bruce. He is fine with older sensible children and has lived with cats. He is like any normal young pup so will need ongoing training to ensure he stays social and well behaved as he grows.
Bruce should not require any further intervention with his cleft but if he develops any nasal discharge or continuous sneezing he should be checked by the vet. We will explain fully to suitable applicants his needs in detail going forward.
Bruce is currently being fostered in Frimley, Surrey. He has been vaccinated and micro chipped and is up to date with flea and worming treatment. He will need to be neutered at the correct time as part of the adoption contract.
