Bruce has been used to a home environment, he has been known to be housetrained and can be left for short periods of time with little problem. Bruce is however used to living in a quiet household and as an only pet so this is the type of home we feel would best suit him again in his future.
Bruce can be a little worried when meeting new people so would like all members of his new family to be over the age of 16 and happy to come to the centre a few times to get to know him. Once he knows you, Bruce is a big snuggler and loves being on your lap for fuss, naps and neck scratches.
Although Bruce would like to be the only pet in his new home, he does have some social skills and can meet calmer quieter dogs quite happily – he is not reactive to other dogs but can find big, bouncy or younger dogs a little overwhelming and would rather avoid them. He does walk nicely on his lead and although a little older, still really does enjoy his walks! Bruce also has some basic obedience skills and will do anything for a bit of hot dog sausage!
