Bruno is a 1 year old male Cross-Breed. He is looking for a new forever home, currently in a foster home and the energy between Bruno and the other male dog in his foster home, is not agreeable between them.
He also shares his home with a female dog that he adores and plays with all the time. Bruno gets on brilliantly with female dogs and is happy to walk with male dogs and even play with them on walks. Normal happy social dogs.
I have walked all dogs together on and off leads and all are fine. For example, we were at the beach yesterday and they had a great run. Bruno’s recall is not great but he stuck with us as a group in the same way as my dogs do running to and fro but always within a reasonable distance.
Bruno and my female dog have been together in the house a lot and have played together etc a lot. He does need training and I don’t think has had any real training (at least in the last few months with his original adopters) as he doesn’t really walk properly on a lead or come back to his name etc but he has been lovely in every other respect.
I’ve been doing this with him and he’s been learning well. I think that Bruno isn’t a troublesome dog at all in himself but it is dynamic with another male dog that could be an issue.
He is a good dog and although he’s been a bit wary of meeting new people both inside and outside my home he is improving with this and quickly builds confidence with new people after only a couple of minutes and is then fine with that person going forward.
He’s met quite a few people (on purpose!) since he’s been with me and has been perfectly fine. He’s good with bikes and horses going past him on walks.
Bruno sleeps well through the night, is house trained, enjoys the garden and long walks, and will benefit from a forever home as the only dog with an experienced dog owner to continue with his training and build his confidence, Due to his size as around 25 kilos, a child free home and no cats.
A lovely secured garden will allow him the space to play and run, whilst his recall is developed even more and being able to meet other dogs for play time during walks.
Bruno is vaccinated, and microchipped, he has been chemically castrated in Dec, so the vet believes he needs to build his confidence still.
