Bryan is an 11 year old male Brittany Spaniel and doing really well in foster. He settled almost immediately, and is really the most wonderful, loving dog. He is very affectionate and loves to be with you but will also go off and have a lovely roll in the garden on sunny days. He is good in the car, rarely barks, he doesn’t chew and is happy to have a little groom as and when necessary!
He loves his walks and has shown that he was obviously an excellent hunting dog. He was most likely taken to the pound because of his leg issue, not because he wasn’t a good working dog.
Bryan is on joint supplements at the moment, but may need something stronger like many dogs do later in life (we had X-rays and examinations in Spain and there was nothing sinister – it is just something that has to be managed).
His lovely foster home are building up his muscles gradually and hopefully this will help take the pressure off a little. He still has plenty of energy for an old boy and enjoys his walks. He meets and greets dogs and people well when out on walks.
He needs a cat-free home as he does have a high prey drive and no young children as he deserves a nice, quiet retirement home. He does have some separation anxiety but his foster home are working on this. He can be an only dog as he loves his humans, so ideally people that are around almost all of the time.
