Candy is a gorgeous small cross-breed girl aged around 10 year old. She is looking for a nice retirement home to call her own. She has spent some time on the streets of Romania but is now in a foster home in West Lothian, Scotland living with two other dogs. She enjoys her walks and likes to have a good rub up against hedges and sniff around as she toddles along.
She is good with strangers on walks and in the home, plus meeting dogs on walks too. Don’t be deceived by her short legs or age, she enjoys a good run around in the garden too and is up for a play with the resident dog. She sleeps downstairs in the living room with resident dogs.
Candy isn’t keen on being picked up – she gives a little squeak of panic, and her legs are too short to get up on the sofa, so she’s not a cuddle monster or a lap dog. But she does love to come to you for a good scratch and tickle then toddles off to her bed for a nap.
Candy hasn’t been tested around cats or children, so we don’t know what she would be like, but we don’t see any reason for her not to be okay around both, she’s a gentle sweet girl. Perhaps not an overly busy home would be best, with occasional visiting children.
Candy is fully toilet trained, can be left on her own for periods of time, is not destructive and has an adorable nature which is starting to shine through whilst in foster. She is fully vaccinated, microchipped and neutered.
