Cara – 3-4 year old female Cross-Breed

Cara is around 3-4 year old female Cross-Breed. Many of you will already know her story. Cara was the dog Claudia found abandoned on the side of a road on her way home from Craiova. Just some minutes after she rescued Cara a car crashed into Claudias parked car on the side of the road and wrote the car off.

Thankfully Cara was OK but once home in Bucharest Claudia noticed Cara had big teats under her fur and she had pups. Claudia felt awful and the next day borrowed a car and took Cara back to the area. Cara thought she was going to be abandoned again but then realised they were just going for a walk and thankfully found her pup Joy – and what joy the reunion was.

Cara has been in our care for over a month now and is doing well. She adores people but we’ve not been able to mix her with other dogs as she growls at them. This could be because she still has her puppy (have tried separate introductions) however as Cara loves people so much it would be best for her to be adopted as an only dog ideally.

We are looking for committed adopters to take Cara on to take time to settle Cara in and work on any issues that may arise. Cara definitely belonged to someone before and was a chained dog as she is missing fur from around her neck.
