Charlie is a 4 year old male Jack Russel Terrier Cross. He is in a foster home in Gloucestershire. Charlie has a very handsome little face. He is very small and weighs about 4kg. He has his front teeth missing, but this doesn’t stop him eating kibble. Charlie is a lovely little boy, and now loves his foster Mum. He is a sweet, loving boy, but he is very timid of new people and situations.
Charlie needs an adopter who can give him the time and space he needs to settle and gain confidence. Whoever adopts him needs to understand that he is a work in progress dog and they need to have time and patience to help bring Charlie on. They need to have a good understanding of dogs. He is playful, and would benefit from living with a small confident dog who could show him the ropes and teach him he need not be scared.
Charlie has just started lead walks, and is doing well, but it’s still a work in progress as he has only been in quiet places so far. Charlie gets on well with the other dogs he is living with. Jo tried testing him with the cat a few times but he is petrified of her so we won’t rehome him with one. Charlie is beginning to accept Jo’s teenage son, but he has to completely ignore him or Charlie barks at him with his hackles up. Charlie arrived in the UK 3 weeks ago from Romania, and was extremely nervous. He has come on hugely and we are so proud of him.
Whoever adopts him will be extremely lucky. Poor Charlie was found on the street and brought to our rescuer, who is a vet. As you can see, he has a bad eye. Carmen took him to an opthamologist and she has done everything to help him, but he will never have full vision in his eye. Apart from a cloudy streak down the middle it looks completely normal.
Little Charlie must have had a home at one point and was then abandoned. Charlie is neutered, vaccinated, parasite treated, chipped and has a passport. Homecheck and Adoption fees apply.
