Chase is a 5 year old male Cross-Breed. He is medium sized and currently in foster care in the area of Burton on Trent. He is originally from Spain but already in the UK for 3 years.
Chase is a very friendly and affectionate boy who loves to be around people and get attention. He is also great with other dogs and enjoys to play and spend time with them. Therefore a home with another dog, who is as playful as him, would be perfect. With cats he isn’t keen, that’s why he is looking for a home without cats.
Chase has previously lived with children and behaves well with them. Nevertheless he is a dog who still needs training and to learn boundaries what is very time intensive. We want that dogs which require more time like Chase to be the priority, that is why we are looking for an adult only home or for families with older children who already have other dogs living at home and are used to living with them.
In his previous place he didn’t receive a lot of stimulation and only was walked in the garden. That’s the reason why he had overweight when came into our care, but his current foster is doing a great job with him. With the right food and a lot of playing time and walks he has already lost some weight and his coat is again shining.
The first times Chase went to the woods for walks or saw squires he was very excited and pulled on the lead, but he is making good progress and getting better each time.
He isn’t used to travel in the car and gets noisy and anxious. In general he doesn’t like to be enclosed and therefore also doesn’t like crates, but he is very well behaved at home. He has a good recall, isn’t destructive at all and learning to become house trained.
Last week he went to the dog groomer, and also he was not too keen on the bath or the drier he was very accepting of the experience. Since he is in foster care he made a lot of progress and is learning how beautiful life can be outside of four walls.
Chase has missed a lot in the past and deserves to catch this up. His new family has to be prepared and happy to keep up with his training in all aspects and have a good understanding and experience of dog behavior.
Please be aware that any potential family/person for Chase will have to meet with him on at least one occasion within his foster home. The adoption fee is £400. If you think that you are the right person or family for him please get in touch with us.
