My name is Chela. I’m a 4 year old female Spanish Greyhound (Galgos) which is very similar to a greyhound so I’m off Sighthound family. I was kept on a chain and starved so I would hunt rabbits hungry. I am now surplus to requirements and have been disowned. The vet was instructed to put me to sleep but he approached my rescue team to see if they would help me.
My Aunty Kate and Aunty Carolyn stepped forward and I was moved to Kate’s. I’ve been settling down into my new life. I’m learning to trust humans and I’m fine with other dogs. I’m 4 and I’m just about to turn 5. I would like a quiet-ish home as mostly I like resting. We are well known to be lazy sofa loving dogs. I don’t need lots of walks and I’m happy stretching my legs. Another dog would help me grow in confidence but it’s not necessary. I do want your garden to be both enclosed and secure.
Aunty Kate says I’m a beautiful girl and whoever chooses to give me a home will be very lucky.
I’d like to do some basic training so I can understand what you ask me to do. I also think that training would help you and I bond and be best friends.
My rescue need a completed application form and Homecheck. They also require you to pay part of my rescue costs. However they will ensure that I am neutered, vaccinated, fully blood tested, chipped, flea and tick treated and wormed. I will travel on DEFRA approved transport and you will receive my passport and my DEFRA import paperwork.
I’m so looking forward to becoming a pet in your home. With your help and support I’ll be the best girl I can be for you.
Please don’t make me wait.
