For months they have been searching for a dog-friendly property, but they’re now running out of time and reached out to us as a last resort.

As they can’t find anyone who will accept Chichi we’re hoping we can find her a loving forever home elsewhere, so when their tenancy finishes all of the family have somewhere to move to.

Chichi is a very chilled and family-friendly dog who loves nothing more than snuggling up on the sofa, lots of cuddles, and plenty of strokes. She is quite the lap dog and doesn’t ask for much.

Chichi enjoys two short walks a day and isn’t a hugely active dog. She would be ideal for a slightly older couple or someone looking for a dog for a company rather than to encourage them to exercise!

Chichi is a very human-oriented dog and loves being fussed over. Chichi currently lives as the only resident dog and is fine on her own.

Chichi’s confident without canine company, but also gets along well with most other dogs. She particularly likes other small dogs, especially males, and could live alongside a dog similar to her.

It should be noted however that she hates German Shepherds and can’t be off the lead when there’s one nearby as she will become very snappy (although not bite) around them, which can be alarming to experience.

Chichi’s also uncomfortable around Border Collies or any dogs that have a big, hairy shape. German Shepherds stand out though.

Chichi is generally excellent around people but can occasionally show a little bit of territorial behaviour if men she doesn’t know (such as tradesmen) come into the home.

Chichi can be quite vocal and lively (jumping up at legs) when they first arrive, but once they bend down and say hello she is generally fine.

As long as she has her own space this isn’t a behaviour we see being an issue. Chichi has been the beloved friend of the little boy she lives with for the past few years and she has been a wonderful companion to him.

Chichi is affectionate, gentle and patient, but we feel she would be happiest in a home with children no younger than five years old.

Chichi doesn’t like cats, so we’re looking for a cat-free home.

Unlike many of our dogs, we know that Chichi can live in London as she is doing so already, but she can be rehomed anywhere in the UK as long as her family can travel to meet and collect her following the success of their home check.

It would be nice for her to have access to a small garden, but she is fully housetrained and isn’t super active so this isn’t compulsory.

There’s no doubt at all that Chichi has been adored since she was adopted and her family are heartbroken to be having to make this decision.

Her family have asked that, if possible, they can be in touch with the new family and perhaps visit in the future. We would love for that to be an option for them considering their sad circumstances, so please bear this in mind if you’re interested in applying.
