Chico is a two years old, male, Jack Russell – a small dog with a big personality. Chico, who quite clearly has been a family’s dog was just abandoned on the street and found himself in a shelter.

Chico found it very difficult to start living in the shelter. He refused to come out of his crate, didn’t want any touch from people, and his food bowl remained full for days.

He kept his faith for many months, believing that his family would come and take him home and now, after nearly ten months at the shelter, we believe Chico is ready for the next chapter of his life.

Chico is friendly with familiar people and indifferent to strangers. He is also quite indifferent to other dogs and can be selective in choosing dogs for friends a character trait of Jack Russells!

He is full of energy and life. Chico has a “to-do list” when he is out of the kennel: sniff, run, check the dogs in the kennels… and sometimes, if there is time left, give the volunteers he knows a chance to pet him.

When Chico returns to the kennel, he returns to the “I’m waiting for my family” mood.

Chico is an independent minded dog and you will need patience to earn his trust but when you cross this bridge, Chico will become your “forever” dog and implant his paw print on your heart.

He will suit a family without children or other dogs, a family/couple/single person that has and is willing to give Chico the time, patience, and love he needs to regain his faith in his relationship with humans.

Chico can fly to the UK as soon as a forever home will be offered.
