Chips is a 9-year-old female Cross-Breed (she weighs just under 14kg and stands 17” high at her shoulder) who is in an Oldies Club foster home in Dalbeattie, Dumfries and Galloway, waiting for someone to offer her a permanent home. Although she is living with another calm dog, Chips likes her own space and will growl if the other dog gets too close to her. She ignores other dogs when out and about.
We understand that Chips has previously lived with a cat but she hasn’t met a cat in foster care. Chips is fine with calm, gentle, older children. Chips walks beautifully on the lead and you don’t know she’s there. She stays close off lead and responds well to her name. She can be a little stiff so shortish walks at a gentle pace suit Chips best.
Chips like being loved by her human, sleeping, sunbathing, having a brush. She isn’t keen on busy places and will walk away from the vacuum. She is reluctant to go for a walk when it’s cold, wet or windy. Her perfect home would be calm, quiet, warm and with as much love and company as possible.
Chips is neutered and has been vaccinated, microchipped, wormed and flea treated. Chips has some arthritis in her spine and can be a little stiff on rising and if her walks are longer than usual. She is currently on Rimadyl pain relief and this may need to be ongoing.
