Cookie is a 2 year old, French bulldog cross and is a small 10kg boy who found himself bullied by bigger dogs when he was in the shelter and so was constantly fearful and on his guard. Cookie came to the UK in February 2024 and is currently in foster care in Hereford.

Cookie is house-trained and loves his creature comforts like a nice soft bed. He interacts well with nice calm people but appreciates a quiet place to rest. Cookie is not a huge fan of long walks, preferring a leisurely stroll and then back to bed for a snooze.

Cookie does not like the cold and rain! Understandably, after his experience in the shelter, he is wary of other dogs, he does not pick fights but will warn them off. Cookie’s foster says lovely things about him, that he is a clever boy, that he is a kind boy who has a deep side to him.

She tells him that he is beautiful all the time and that he has a face only a mother could love – Cookie is not sure whether that is a compliment or an insult!

Cookie is looking for a forever home that is quiet and he would need to be an only dog. Cookie does settle if left alone for short periods but would thrive in a home where there is someone there for most of the time.

A family with children would probably be a bit too much for Cookie, who would cope better with an older / retired couple who could spend lots of time with him as he adores lots of love and cuddles and could easily spend most of his day on a comfy sofa with his human getting lots of attention.

Are you that person who could love that face….?
