Crackerjack – 1 year old male Staffordshire Bull Terrier Cross

Crackerjack is an amazing young Staffordshire Bull cross who at only a year old, has the most awful time. A timid boy, he came to us as part of a cruelty investigation and he really deserves a fantastic new home. Sadly, his past has left him with a few mental scars and he needs a loving, patient owner who will help him to build his trust in humans and life after the troubles of his previous circumstances. All that is now behind him and it is our job to look to the future and to find this lovely boy a family who will love, nurture and adore him. He is a little wary of new people at first, but once he knows you, he is loyal, loving and affectionate and he will give you his whole heart.

Crackerjack would be better suited to a home with adults over 16 years of age, who will be happy to dedicate time to training our boy so that he can be a brave, confident chap who can enjoy his life to the full. We don`t know if he has spent much time outdoors as he finds simple things like grass, both interesting but also a little scary. We have been spending time at the centre gently desensitising him to new environments as well as doing gentle handling exercises.

This fantastic fella would probably benefit from the company of another dog who is calm and patient to help give him support and confidence. Crackerjack does become easily excitable and so a few meet and greets with a potential doggy friend may be required to try and ensure that they are a perfect match.

This amazing boy has been through so much, yet is still willing to put his trust in new humans he meets. He would benefit from owners with experience of nervous dogs so that he will get the best support possible.
