Darlene is a smallish 8-9 year old female Cross-Breed. She is a gentle, sweet inquisitive girl, who although is still a little nervous, is curious about her new surroundings. When she first arrived a few months ago no-one could touch her without her being utterly terrified. She has now been placed in a foster home were she can receive more one to one interaction.
Darlene has flourished and will often seek out interaction by jumping on the sofa with little or no encouragement and will lay down next to you for a gentle fuss and a little nap. She now remains relaxed throughout this experience. She has also discovered toys and will empty the toy box and surround herself with everything that squeaks and is fluffy!
Darlene will need a quite adult home only with at least one other dog (2 if possible), as she would feel uncomfortable without a canine companion. Darlene struggles with change so it will take her a few days to settle and adjust the her new routine, she will need a kind a patient adopter to help her adjust to her new home.
Darlene is clean in the house and can be left for reasonable periods of time with no issues. She walks well on her lead and will eagerly sit at the door to put her lead on and is gaining confidence on car journeys.
Darlene needs an experienced adopter who understands the fears of an ex shelter dog from Romania.
All dogs are vaccinated, microchipped and neutered (unless the dog is too young to be neutered). If you are interested please message or call between 9am to 5pm Mon – Fri 9am to 4pm Sat.
