Since we launched dogsblog.com on January 9th, 2007 we’ve helped to change the lives of 67582 dogs by finding them new, permanent, loving homes.
Not only are these dogs lives changed, by providing 728 vetted & approved dog rescues a free platform to promote their adoptable dogs, dogsblog.com has directly saved the UK animal welfare sector more than £35,067,240 of financial burden.
That’s because it costs, on average, £15 per day to care for a dog in rescue, with an average stay per dog of 39 days.
For every dog we help to find a new home, not only do we change the life of that dog, we’re directly saving UK animal charities (particularly the smaller ones who struggle for funding) £535 in expenses.

It costs dogsblog.com:
- £27,000 to find homes for 1,000 dogs
- £2,700 to find homes for 100 dogs
- £270 to find homes for 10 dogs
We can find a new home for a shelter dog for just £27 in funding.
Or look at it another way: for each £27 you donate to dogsblog.com, we can save a shelter £535 in costs AND change the life of a dog.
Without funding, dogsblog.com would not be able to change so many lives, for dogs & their new owners
If you would like to make a donation to help us on our mission to rehome dogs, a donation of just £27 will help a dog find a new, permanent home.
If you’d like to help us find homes for 100 or even 1,000 dogs – the numbers above tell their own story.
