Decker is a one-year-old male pointer cross currently residing in Cyprus.

This medium-sized, adolescent dog arrived at the shelter just after Christmas, having been found as a stray near the bins, presumably a hopeful hunting dog that didn’t make the cut during the Cyprus hunting season.

Despite the challenges he faced, Decker exudes adorability with a sweet, loving, and genuine personality.

In the shelter, Decker shares his kennel compound with seven other dogs of similar size, demonstrating good co-existence with most. He plays nicely with one companion but tends to avoid the others who display less friendly behavior.

Despite occasional encounters, Decker handles these situations with grace, turning away and walking off. While well-socialized and fluent in canine code, he would thrive in a home where he can be surrounded by other dogs who share his enthusiasm for play.

Decker is an energetic breed mix, seeking a semi-rural home with an active family. He requires a home with direct access to a secure garden, ideal for walks, runs, and possibly cani-cross.

Although he needs a bit of leash training and time adjusting to outdoor walks, Decker’s eagerness to please and learn suggests a swift adaptation. Currently underweight due to his background, he will need time to regain a healthy weight.

This bouncy, good-natured dog is well-suited for a home with children aged 6 and above. While mindful of his size, Decker may display some excitement that could be managed with a family experienced in handling energetic dogs.

He could also live alongside other dogs, preferably those who enjoy playtime. While untested with cats, his estimated breed mix suggests a preference for a cat-free home.

Decker, with a clean bill of health, is ready to travel to his forever home. Ideally suited for an outdoorsy adopter willing to engage in training and activities, Decker promises to be a fun-loving and loyal companion.

Consider bringing this delightful pointer mix into your home, offering him the love and care he deserves.
