Derry loves her walks and is currently walked for a minimum of two and a half hours every day split over three walks. She will also need to have regular opportunities for off lead exercise in a secure area. Being a young dog, Derry needs an active home and she would absolutely love another young and playful doggy playmate.

Derry is clean in the house and has learnt that she is not allowed to counter surf or beg for food from the table! ‘Leave’ is a command that Derry soon picked up – clever girl! Any potential adopter must understand that Derry is a young dog and some teenage behaviour should be expected – if she’s in one of her mischievous moods turn your back and you may find Derry ‘helpfully’ attempting to empty the kitchen bin or pinching articles of clothing.

That said, Derry hasn’t chewed any furniture in her foster home and she has been left alone for short periods without any incidents. The doggy cam shows that she settles down with the other dogs and enjoys stretching out and having a good snooze.

Initially, Derry slept in her own bed in the foster family’s bedroom but, having discovered the wonders of sofa snoozing, she has been choosing to sleep on the sofa all night downstairs. Derry sleeps through without a peep all night, stirring only when her foster family appear at 7.30am the following morning.

Derry travels well and loves a road trip. She’s a confident and nosey girl who enjoys taking in all the sights and sounds. Derry has adapted to home life so quickly, she walks well on the lead, and has been non-reactive when passing all manner of dogs, large and small.

Whoever adopts Derry is in for a real treat as this girl just loves life! But more than that, she will love you! It is impossible not to love Derry as she gives so much in return. Derry is like an open book and what you see is what you get, which is a very happy go lucky and loving girl.

P.S.

Derry has also requested that her forever home has a large sized toy basket filled with a variety of different toys from which she is able to select whatever takes her fancy at the time. Thank you.

Derry is spayed, vaccinated, microchipped and flead and wormed.
