Diana is a 3 year old female Spanish Mastin Cross. Her name is Diana, derived from Princess Diana. That’s why she is usually called “Princesa” by the people around her. Princesa already got to know the bad side of humanity. She was overrun by a car and left on her own with a Pneumothorax for 24 hours until we saved her. After a long treatment, she has recovered very well and doesn’t have any sequelae.
Princesa is a very affectionate girl. She loves to be around her people and get cuddles, but she is also very protective of her home and her people. She has the typical character of the Mastins and is calm and noble. She is currently in foster care in Northern Spain and living with a cat. It took some time until she got used to the cat as the cat was afraid of her size and wanted to run away each time she saw her, but with patience and time, they got used to each other.
Now Princesa protects the cat like she does with anyone member of the home and even shares her bedding with her. With other dogs on her walks, she is fine and also happy to play with them, but she would prefer to be the only dog at home to have all the attention for herself. Princesa is not a demanding girl. Having her walk, be with her people, and receive cuddles and affection makes her happy. She is a very familiar dog and loves to be around the people she knows and enjoys their company.
Princess is obedient, walks very well on the lead, and is house-trained. She is used to the noises, the traffic, and the hectic life of the city, as she accompanies her foster parents to the market or even to the shopping mall. Princesa is looking for a dog-experienced home. Also, she is an easy-going dog, she is a big-sized dog and can be stubborn and protective of her people and therefore needs a confident leader who tells her when her protection isn’t needed.
Her size in combination with her deep barking can be quite scaring for people who don’t know her and especially for children, therefore we are looking for a home that is used to her breed or a similar breed and doesn’t have young children.
Princesa is ready to start a new chapter in her life and to get to know the good side of humans. Love, patience, and commitment are the key to it, and if you can offer this girl a lovely home and keep showing her the beautiful sides of life don’t hesitate to get in touch with us.
Please be aware that Princesa can be rehomed in England and Wales, but NOT Scotland.
