(Rehomed) Dollar – 4 year old male English Springer Spaniel cross Jack Russell Terrier

Dollar is a 4 year old male English Springer Spaniel cross Jack Russell Terrier. Initially when Dollar was handed into rescue he was very timid but quickly he began to show his true loving side. He is friendly and cuddly. He absolutely loves a fuss and is in heaven when he has his tummy rubbed. Dollar is a typical Springer Spaniel, he is intelligent and active. Dollar had little basic training when he came into rescue but in just a week he began to pick up the basics, any new home would need to commit to continuing his training. Dollar is a typical active spaniel and will need a great deal of exercise and mental stimulation; he loves to learn and is eager to please. He’s a typical spaniel retriever and loves his ball. We think that Dollar would be fantastic at fly ball or agility and hope his future home would consider giving him the opportunity to engage in these activities. Dollar is very loving and wants to be near you, he gets quite stressed when left and may bark and howl, because of this we would like him to be homed where someone is at home most of the day.

Dollar is beginning to learn how to walk nicely on the lead but is pulling quite a bit at the moment. He enjoys social situations and has recently enjoyed a lovely pub lunch with his foster Mum where he rested quietly under the table. Dollar plays happily alongside other dogs when out and about. He can, on rare occasions get grumbly so his new home would need to keep a close eye on him around other dogs. He likes visiting the river and is a typical spaniel who loves to swim and run to chase his ball. In the home Dollar is happy and relaxed. He is house trained and enjoys his home comforts; however he is not happy to share his home with another dog and can be reactive to them if he feels they are taking away attention from him. Because of this he will only be homed as an only dog.

We are looking for active owners who will give Dollar the training, exercise and mental stimulation he so deserves. Working with him is so rewarding because of his quick mind and good natured need to please and we would like Dollar to have the opportunity to engage in a doggy sport. He is such a wonderful dog and really does deserve all the love in the world.

Dollar is up to date with his vaccinations and flea and worm treatment. He is neutered and microchipped. Potential adopters will be expected to travel to visit Dollar in his foster home in Defford, Worcestershire.

If you are interested in adopting Dollar please read about our rehoming process and complete a Pre-Adoption form ( link here ) and one of our adoption coordinators will contact you for a chat.
