Doruk is a 3-5 year old male Cross-Breed. He is the sad example of a wonderful dog who is totally invisible in the pound in Northern Spain. This poor boy has been at the pound since October 2021, and absolutely nobody has shown any interest in him, in spite of how friendly and social he is with people.

In the pound Doruk shared his kennel with big dogs and was very good with them. He is now in foster care as only dog, but we feel he could share with another dog, as he is in general a friendly dog. He is currently living with a cat, but don’t know how he is around children or other animals and also aren’t able to test him. We are looking for an adults-only home or a place with older, dog experienced children (10+) who have previously lived with dogs at home.
What Doruk loves is attention from people. He gets very excited and emotional when he sees you and jumps up. He wants to be talked to and cared for and enjoys to be around humans. Doruk is clean at home and walks quite well on the lead. He also already knows some basic commands and sits to get a treat. He is a small, but a young and active boy and therefore we are also looking for an active home, who is happy to include him in their outdoor acitvities during all seasons and to share long walks, hiking etc. with him.
Doruk was brought in as a stray, so we have no background information from him prior entering the pound. He will need a patient family, who understands that there are situation which may be new to him and he’ll need time to settle and adjust. He would love a fully fenced garden, and lots of time to be outside with doggy friends. Can you offer Doruk the home he deserves?
Doruk is currently in Spain and has been invisible for too long. We have promised him to do our best to find the person or family who won’t overlook him and be able to see what a wonderful guy he is. If you want that Doruk becomes part of your family and you can commit to him for the next 10-15 years, please get in touch. We would love to hear from you. Please be aware that we rehome dogs to England and Wales, but NOT Scotland.
