Please meet our very sweet little boy Douglas. Douglas is a very adorable 2 1/2 year old Jack Russel cross Yorkshire Terrier boy. He came into our care with his mother, father and sister Jess from a Travelers site and where they are all now seeking a wonderful forever home of their own. Douglas has always lived with another dog and gets on really well with them. It would be lovely to see him in a home with a doggy companion, although this is not essential.
Douglas is a quiet and reserved little guy and loves a fuss made of him and lots of love. He is very undemanding for a young dog and he loves his warm comfy bed to snuggle up in even though he probably wasn’t used to this in the past. As Douglas lived on the travelers site, he was never walked on a lead and left to roam around with his mum and siblings. Therefore he is not yet used to a lead or much basic command training so this needs to be taken into account in the early days.
Douglas is good with other dogs and people but no cats or small furries please. He is also OK with children. Douglas is currently being fed on Canine Choice, an excellent food. They are currently sponsoring all of Lea Valley Rescue dogs with their food and will give a free bag to whoever adopts Douglas, along with a 30% discount off their next order.
Douglas is neutered, vaccinated and micro-chipped. He is fostered in North London. For home checking and rescue back up purposes, we favour enquiries from prospective adopters who reside in London or neighbouring counties although we may consider applications from further afield for the right home.
If you wish to be considered to adopt Douglas, would you please submit an adoption enquiry form available from our website. I
