Dundika is a 1.5 year old, small maleCross-Breed (shoulder height: 33 cm, weight: 9 kg). He was rescued from a dog collector who kept 24 dogs in a courtyard, all neglected, full of fleas and ticks when rescued. Dundika has been received by a large shelter and has spent the past 2 months there.
Dundika is very human centered and loves people! He is a velcro dog who follows you everywhere and wants to be around you all the time once he knows you. He is a lovely boy who is always up for a cuddle and thrives on human company therefore he’s not happy in the shelter. He doesn’t like being left alone and tries to get out of his kennel to follow his carers.
He is generally good with dogs but he is more interested in people than dogs. He lives peacefully with his doggie mates in the shelter though. He currently lives in an outdoor kennel when really he should be a sofa dweller in a warm home with a loving family.
He is familiar with the lead but he is not taken on regular walks and he will need to be trained to walk nicely on and off the lead in his new family. He currently lives in a kennel outdoors and we are unsure about his toilet training needs. His future family will need to be prepared to toilet train him if needed.
Dundika would be best suited for a family without children where there’s someone around for most part of the day and he’s not left alone for long periods of time. His future family will need to give him time to settle in his new home and treat him as a member of the family.
He would like to be included in family programmes and accompany you on nice walks and holidays. He could live with a friendly doggie mate, but he would probably be happiest being the only dog in the family and have all the love and attention of his owners for himself.
Dundika is currently in Hungary and can travel to the UK as soon as the right family is found for him. He comes fully vaccinated, microchipped, dewormed, flea and tick treated, with an EU passport and DEFRA approved paperwork.
Adoption is subject to Home Check and Adoption fee.
