Eddie is a 5 month old male Cross-Breed. We think he will grow to be medium sized. You can see by his poor little scarred face that Eddie hasn’t had an easy start in life. He was in the Botosani public shelter when we went to visit back in March. He and his brother had been brought to the shelter after being found on the street by dog catchers.
They were in a pen with several other more adoptable pups all of which have since gone to rescues in Germany, including his brother who wasn’t as badly effected or as scarred by the mange. Eddie was left behind and so of course we agreed to take him. Eddie is fostered in Norwich Norfolk.
Eddie is a funny little undersocialised pup who will be playing catch up for a while. He didn’t get to be born into a nice home, he didn’t get cuddles or a nice soft bed. He got the danger of the streets followed by a concrete cell. He didn’t get lead trained as soon as his vaccinations were done, he didn’t get toys to play with, he had nothing and nobody. He has us now and we will start to show him all those things he’s missed out on, but we are not the family he’s never had we can only try to find that for him.
Eddie is not an ordinary pup. He is still healing from the scars of mange and some scars may remain forever. He is more suspicious of people than most pups of his age because he’s never had the luxury of being carefree. He needs patience, kindness and love. He would love another confident dog in the home to learn from. He’s an intelligent little chap and he learns pretty fast but there’s still a way to go for him. He would not be ideal with very young children but children of an age to understand his hesitancy would be fine.
Our adoption fee is £270. He / She is vaccinated, microchipped and neutered.
