Eddie is an 18 month old male Cross-Breed. He is medium-sized with a small, slender build. As a small puppy, Eddie found himself in the harsh conditions of the Botosani public shelter in Romania. Because he was suffering from mange, he had to be separated from the other dogs. He therefore missed out on new experiences and socialisation.
He is a sweet, playful and inquisitive character, but life for Eddie is desperately over-exciting and scary in equal parts. His skin has been left damaged by the mange and he is still taking medication for an autoimmune skin issue that can be managed but may not ever be fully cured.
Eddie loves his walks but sometimes struggles to be calm on the lead. In the house, he wants to be with his people and absolutely loves a cuddle on the sofa, pawing for attention if you stop stroking him. He is happily living with confident cats, calm teenagers, and several dogs in his foster home and is happy to be left for short periods whilst we are all out.
This characterful and complicated little chap needs an experienced home with a patient adopter who is prepared for a challenge. Eddie finds children hugely exciting and so he needs a calm, adult-only home. He ideally needs another calm dog to give him confidence, play with him (and put him in his place when he gets too silly).
His new family will need to understand that he needs plenty of time to settle, guidance when faced with anything new, calmness and patience as he learns to be the perfect dog. Eddie fostered Dersingham, Norfolk.
All dogs are vaccinated, microchipped and neutered (unless the dog is too young to be neutered). If you are interested please message or call between 9am to 5pm Mon – Fri 9am to 4pm Sat.
