Edna is a 2-3 year old female French Bulldog fostered in London SE20. Edna is a stunning girl who came to us as for re homing when she could no longer be kept in her current situation. Edna loves people and will follow her human around constantly, she is great with everyone she meets and lives for her people. She is fine with older children used to living with dogs 12+ please. Edna is in foster with cats and is fine.
Edna can be very choosy with her canine companions and so applications with and without other dogs will be considered. There is no reason or logic with her choices but she doesn’t cope with other dogs who are too OTT or in her space. Edna may be suitable to live with a calmer laid back dog who will give her space and not overwhelm her as she settles in. She has recently had her BOAS surgery (Rhinoplasty- nares, soft pallet and Laryngeal Saccules) she has recovered well and there should be no ongoung health needs. Edna did have very itchy skin when she arrived, this has cleared up and again there should be no issues going forward provided advice given is followed re feeding etc.
Edna is happy in the home, she is not always clean as she does not like to go outside without you, she also still has the odd accident overnight but she has made progress. Edna loves lying next to you on the sofa and will follow you whenever you move. Edna can sometimes be quite barky when she wants attention, her dinner made quicker or feels that she is not getting enough attention. Again good progress made in foster but this will be ongoing – her foster will discuss this in greater detail with suitable applicants
Edna is great on the lead. Must wear well fitted harness Re surgery. Meet and greet of several dogs with no problems. Doesn’t show much interest with dogs. Care must be taken with each introductions as she can sometimes take a dislike! She does however listen to direction and is easily managed.
Edna does suffer from seperation anxiety, she follows her foster mum around the house whenever she moves. Her new owners will need to be around for most of the day and also have the time and patience to work on her anxiety. This will take time and is not a quick fix, patience will be key. She is a lovely girl who will blossom in the right environment. Her surgeries mean that she is able to cope with exercise and enjoy it. Care will still need to be taken in warmer weather due to her breed. She is a little stunner who will continue to progress in the right home.
Edna has been neutered, vaccinated and micro chipped and has also had BOAS and a dental. She is up to date with flea and worming treatment.
Potential adopters will be expected to travel to London SE20 to meet Edna.
