Effie is a 3-month-old brown and white female Saluki cross puppy who was born in February 2024.

She was found thrown in a bin with her three siblings as a newborn pup, and sadly, her mother was nowhere to be seen.

Thankfully, a municipal worker contacted the rescue organisation, and they were able to get the puppies into a foster home and on the bottle straight away.

Effie was bottle-fed by her foster mum until she was old enough to eat solid food. Then she moved into a different foster home with her sister, where she remains.

Effie and her sister get along really well and play nicely together, although Effie hasn’t had much socialisation with dogs older than her.

Effie is really sweet and a bit mischievous, displaying typical puppy behaviour by jumping on sofas and beds. She has never known street life and loves her home comforts, as evidenced by her photos.

Effie is fully vaccinated and will be spayed before she leaves Oman. She will be ready to travel to the UK in September 2024.

All dogs rehomed via this rescue will be vaccinated, neutered/spayed and microchipped. Home checks apply and full post adoption support is offered.

Our dogs are rescued from the streets of Oman where they live terrible lives, often suffering abuse, starvation, fatal car accidents and victims of shootings.

They’re primarily wadi dogs, a type of mixed breed sighthound and make wonderful pets. They’re incredibly loyal, loving and intelligent.
