Eric, a delightful 8-year-old Labrador Retriever/Staffordshire Bull Terrier Cross, is in search of a new loving home. This charming canine companion is absolutely adorable, particularly when engaged in playful moments with his beloved tennis ball.

Demonstrating good compatibility with both male and female dogs, Eric, unfortunately, does not share the same friendliness with cats. Originally a stray, he now requires a home with children aged 10 and above.

Friendly and amicable with people, Eric exhibits a lack of interest in other dogs during walks. He walks well on a head collar, travels comfortably, and is crate-trained. Though not with his current owners for long, Eric has not been left alone frequently.

His penchant for food and a somewhat greedy nature necessitate separate feeding from other dogs, and caution is advised as he may attempt to snatch food if not instructed otherwise. Vaccinated, chipped, and neutered, Eric promises to be a wonderful addition to a loving family.

Prospective forever homes are welcome from anywhere within the UK, with the condition that interested parties travel to South Yorkshire for the initial meet.

A comprehensive adoption process is in place, requiring all family members and children regularly interacting with the dog to attend the meeting. The adoption process typically involves multiple meets, and potential adopters may need to travel to the dog’s location for these encounters.

If deemed suitable, a home check, vet reference, and subsequent meeting with Eric will be arranged.

Adoption is contingent upon meeting certain criteria, including the regular vaccination and neutering/spaying of all residents and previous animals unless advised otherwise by a veterinarian. The reassurance of rescue backup is provided for all adopted dogs.

JLP Trust Animal Rescue is a foster based rescue in South Yorkshire (Rotherham and the surrounding areas) and we offer help to animals who need us to find them a new home for whatever the reason.

Sadly many animals, especially in the South Yorkshire area, find themselves needing a new home, abandoned or neglected through no fault of their own. We try to help as many of these as possible through providing help with rehoming, foster homes and help to owners wherever possible to ensure that the animals remain safe, looked after and loved until a new forever home can be found.

For every animal we help we provide homechecks, vaccination, neutering and microchipping and lifetime back up if anything should go wrong in their new home.
