She sleeps through the night in her bed and always wakes up happy. Initially she was not sure about fuss but now she jumps on the bed in the morning for kisses and even rolls on her back so you can get her tum.

Like all good lurchers, she loves her food and would love to be able to countersurf but fortunately being such a dinky size she is unable to reach! After a play, walk and breakfast she settles down for a snooze and is so well behaved for such a young girl when I’m working from home.

She really enjoys her walks; everything is new to her on her walks and she likes to explore everything. She enjoys a good sniff and chases the leaves and any birds that land on the path in front of her. She is currently only going for one walk a day in the morning but she is happy to go as often and for as long as you wish.

When she is not walking or snoozing she likes to play with her toys; she likes all of them from balls to soft squeakies. She will play on her own but enjoys playing tug and rough and tumble with my other foster pup – she really needs a playful dog in her new home.

She is doing so well and I’m so impressed with how much more confident she is in such a short space of time. She will need a family who will continue to support her, like all young dogs she continues to have experiences that are new to her; whether that’s new people coming to the house or meeting new dogs on walks and her new family need to ensure these experiences are positive for her.

She’s a bright girl and her love of food make her easy to train, she also learns by what the other dogs do which is why it is essential she is homed with another dog to help show her the ropes. Erna is in foster in Derbyshire.
