Ernie – 12 year old male Cross-Breed

Ernie is a 12 year old crossbreed. We first met Old Ernie during our trip to Romania back in October. He was in the Pallady shelter and had been there since the January. Ten months in that place, I have no idea how he endured it. He was trying to jump up at the gate to see us but every time he tried a dog that was laying down by the gate growled and snapped at him. He was just a ball of matted fluff trying to stand out of the crowd.

We offered him help there and then and a few days later he was free and in the care of our lovely Claudia.

On December 14th he finally arrived in the UK. He is around twelve years old but not in bad nick for a dog of such an age that has endured such hardship. He likes a quiet life doesn’t mind other dogs and cats being around but likes his own personal space. He can get a bit grouchy if he is knocked into or if a dog tries to lay in the same bed as him but he is all noise and no action even then.

Please, if you can offer Ernie the quiet, comfortable retirement he deserves give us a call :).

We are a voluntary organisation with members from all over the world that have come together to help dogs in need, regardless of their location. To date we have helped dogs from Spain, Cyprus and Turkey but the majority of our work takes place in Romania where we have built up strong relationships with many dedicated rescuers before bringing the dogs to the UK and into foster care for rehoming.
